Sid's mother left him and his father when he was only a baby. But Sid has never wanted her around. Gregor has raised him to be a sharp, well-adjusted man. Gregor supports everything Sid does, even the freedom movement. Gregor is a retired physicist and he helped fund Sid's passion to open his bar, even if it was against the law fro Sid to be running such an establishment in Prasia. Gregor also facilitates the alcohol shipments into the bar. There isn't anything Gregor wouldn't do for his son, and the same goes in return for Sid. He loves his father. He's his best friend.

A few years ago, Sid got involved with one of the waitresses in his bar. She was working there to save money to move to America and become an actress, but they eneded up getting involved, and from that, Sid's daughter was conceived. The woman didn't want anything to do with the baby. In fact, she had wanted to abort the baby and told SId so when she told him she was pregnant and that she needed to quit. He wasn't about to let her kill his child, so he accepted her resignantion, but warned her that there were serious penalties for a woman who aborted a man's child in Prasia. He never would have stooped to such mesures normally, but he wasn't about to let her kill his child.

After she gave birth, the woman left, leaving hte baby at the hospital. Sid instantly fell in love with his daughter, naming her after his pa's mother who had helped Gregor raise Sid until she died when he was sixteen. The little girl is now four years old and the apple of her pa's eye. Gregor has retired since then and helped his son take care of Aribella. Gregor takes care of Aribella at night while her pa is at work and while Sid goes to Movement Meetings. Sid spends every other available moment with his daughter. He loves her more than anyone in this world.

A while ago, he started seeing the emperor's daughter. She had showed up in his club one night and from that moment on, he was hooked. He still hasn't told her about his daughter yet, but being who she is, he's more than sure she already knows. He hasn't told her he's in love with her yet, but he doesn't want to tell her that until he can tell her that he has a daughter.

Sid poured a few more drinks before sliding them down the bar to the waitress waiting to serve them to some men on the other side of the bar. Sid owned and managed the bar himself. He had one other bartender and six waitresses working rotating shifts. Everyone who worked for him not only worked the bar but they were also memebers of his coalition, the movement he had started when the empire learned of the emperor's failing health.

No one in the country wanted the emperor's son to be their absolute ruler. The emperor's rule had been a pleasant one. He had become emperor when Sid's pa was a young man. The emperor's son wasn't even born until Sid was a young kid himself. Sid assumed it was becaue the emperor knew he was getting olde and he knew he needed an heir sooner rather than later. The emperor was a great leader, but no one liked his son.

That is why Sid and sever others citizens in Beriznakov had joined together in a moment against the heir's rule. They were banding together against the tyranical, dictorial rule. And just like the club Sid ran, the movement is also an underground operation. Bars and clubs like his had been outlawed years ago as a peace-keeping measure, probaby the only thing the emperor has done that some citizens don't like. For most of the citizens, especially the older ones, they didn't mind this for the most part.

But everyone, even if only quietly, agreed that they did not want the Tsesarevich to begin total rule. The movement is working toward making the country TRULY a constitutional monarchy - like it's supposed t obe. Sid knew that the ruling they were going to be under was not what the country's creed predicated, and that is what his momvent is based on.

Sid kept looking for his girl. She was supposed to show up tonight if she could get away. He knew it wasn't easy for her for so many reasons. First and foremost, she is the emperor's great niece and Sid did not have any royal blood in him. That was why they had to keep their relationship under wraps. She had to snak away when she came to the bar. Her family could never know she came here. Sid loved her, in spite of having to sneak around. Although that was part of the thrill of being with her.
