Lynda Carter
Seraphine takes pride in her appearance. Long, flowing locks and striking blue eyes run through the line of women throughout her family. This is also the royal bloodline, passed down through the centuries. Seraphine has long, slender fingers and for being 70, she appears to be in very good health and in good shape. She usually wears her hair down and flowing over her back and shoulders.
Seraphine embodies all that a queen should be in everything she does and says. Little girls look up to her. Women revere here. Men respect her. As the women in her line before her, she is a very kind but firm, sweet but just, understanding queen. Seraphine enjoys silence above all. She does not allow alot of noise in her chateau. The only time she really likes any amount of excessive noise is when she is out among the public on parade or just out meeting with her people. She enjoys humanitarian ventures and does her best to support the Tuscane Medical Hospital. She especially enjoys visiting the children's wing, where most of her funding to the hospital is sent.
She enjoys quiet walks around her the royal island, taking a slow, leisurely ride across the straight to the main town of Tuscane, and quiet meals in her private garden off her private suite. She loves old Seychellean folk music and endorsing local artists. In town, there is a museum that has been named after and dedicated to Queen Seraphine. Seraphine does not partake in alcohol of any kind, but does not cast out those who do. In fact, a lot of the country's industry is from the numerous wineries and distilleries. Seraphine is proud of her family line, her heritage and of of country.
Seraphine only lets one person call her Sera, and that is her personal valet and confidant.

Your Future Goals
Seraphine's only goal is to find the suitable heir for her throne. She does not have long to live and she wants her country to be in good hands before she is not with them any longer. She also wants to get to know her grandchildren personally before she dies.
Where You Come From
Seraphine Margueritte Elysées was the only child born to Margeuritte Marie-Laure Elysées-Beauchard and Rusticus Hadriel Lafayette Beauchard. Luckily, she was a girl, because the Elysées women have been the absolute rulers of Seychelles since the monarch was created hundreds of years ago. The royal line has been handed down from Queen to Princess for year upon year. There has not been a male Elysées in the seat ever, and no non-Elysées has ever sat in the throne. It is something the Elysées women are extremely proud of and do not intend to let that reign end.
Sera grew up knowing she was going to be the queen of Seychelles one day. She was thus groomed and brought up to be the queen the country needed. When she turned 24, she took over the responsibility of being queen, but the official coronation did not happen until she turned 35 and her mother turned the crown over to her. Seraphine was married when she was nineteen to the Earl Lemaître of Versailles who was five years older than her. When she turned 20, the she gave birth to a son, D'Artagnan Hadriel Elysées-Lemaître. Almost four years later, Sera gave birth to a second son, Taurus Lafayette Elysées-Lemaître. The two boys grew up very close, but very different.
D'Artangnan enjoyed all outdoor activities. He enjoyed horseback riding, sailing, polo, swimming, biking, climbing, hiking, etc. Taurus enjoyed reading, painting, theatre, ect. The only thing the two boys both enjoyed was fencing. They would often spar along with each other. When Taurus was older, he grew a love for traveling, sprouted from his love of art and culture, wanting to learn about the world's arts and different cultures. D'Artagnan knew he had a responsibility to stay close to home and to rule at his parents' side. Although there was one thing D'Artagnan did not like about his repsonsibilities.
D'Artagnan knew he must take a bride by the times he turned 25, but he knew that even if he did, she would not be queen of Seychelles. Only a female of the Elysées line would ever be able to be queen. He knew his mother wanted him to marry and produce an heir for her to turn the crown over to. In the complete history of Seychelles, there had never been a queen not of the Elysées line. That was a lot of responsibility on a young man who would not even be able to ascend the throne. He knew he had a responsibility as the crowned prince of Seychelles, but he wanted to be recognized as more than the crowned prince. Even if he were to marry, his wife would only be princess and never queen herself.
Because of this, he never wanted to get married. However, he did conceive a child with a woman he fell in love with in the capital of Tuscane. She was married, but was in love with the prince as well, and not just because he was the prince. He did not get to know the child log, because he died soon after the child was born. It was at this time that his younger brother Taurus decided to abdicate his position as the new crowned prince, leaving to marry a woman he had met in America. He had no contact with his mother after this point. She did however have someone watching over him and his family, unbeknownst to him and his family. He has since died and his two children are now in their twneties, as is their cousin they have never met and know nothing about.
Seraphine has recently been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. Because of her fear and hatred for health and healthcare services, she has not gone in prior to now to be checked out, thus the severity of her cancer. She has done her best to improve the heathcare system in Seychelles, but still does not feel the need to go to the doctor herself. Because of this, her cenacer has progressed to a level that is untreateable and her doctors have given her a finite time to live. So, she has sent her personal valet, the one person in this world she cares about more than anyone else and keeps as a close confidant, to go out and bring her grandchildren to her. She is now waiting to meet all three of them and tell them that one of them will be chosen to take over the responsibilities of ruling Seychelles... even if the chosen one does not happen to be a girl. She knows she must choose the best leader for the country, not just because the heir is female. She is the queen after all, she can change things.
It‘s All About You
Seraphine sat at the easel she had set up on the north veranda outside her suite. SHe thougth about the thousands of times she had sat in this very spot painting what was in her heart. But if she were to paint what was in her heart right now, she'd be painting despair. As it was, the canvass was bare. She'd been sitting in that same spot for close to two hours now. SHe ahd not laid down one stroke of color. She'd been looking at the globules of paint on the palette, not even thinking about painting by now. The colors had started to swirl together a long time ago.
She didnt' even realize she was still sitting in her seat when Julietta came over and laid her head on Sera's lap. Sera jumped, looking down at her faithful friend, speaking in Seychellean, the country's native language, as opposed to English. "Bon jour, non petite." Julietta lifted her head from Sera's lap, looking up at her mistress. "Comment allez vous?" Her faithful companion laid her head back down on Sera's lap. Sera laid her brush and pallet down, stitting back in her Queen Anne chair, prompting Julietta to climb up onto Sera's lap.
Julietta wasn't a small dog by any means being a full-grown cocker spaniel, but she was Sera's baby. Aside from Sera's valet, Julietta was the closest person in the world to her, aside from the fact that Julietta was a dog. Julietta laid her head over the arm rest of the chair and Sera started petting the soft fur on Julietta's back. Sera knew Julietta knew Sera was sick, and she did all she could to comfort her mistress and show her she loved her. Sera knew her dog loved her, and she was grateful to have her companionship.
Seraphine knew she didn't have much time left, and that's why she was looking forward to meeting her grandchildren finally. Even though she had kept a close eye on each of them, she din't know them personally. Because hse doesn't have much time left, it is one of the few things Sera does have to look forward to. She only hopes she will have enough time to ensure that one of them will be suitable to lead her contry when she is no longer able to.
